Order Availability, Processing, and Allocation
Rethink your order process. Optimize operations. Enhance customer satisfaction.

What is Order Availability, Processing, and Allocation?

During sales order processing, the availability check enables you to tell the customer if the product can be delivered on time. You can control how the availability check is carried out by setting the Availability check field in the material master.

An order processing system captures order data from customer service employees or from customers directly, stores the data in a central database and sends order information to the accounting and shipping departments, if applicable.

Order allocation is the process of locating inventory for an order and creating the work to pick that inventory. That is, orders can be allocated with inventory from one or multiple warehouse sites to ensure that orders are filled as quickly and efficiently as possible.
